About Me
Hi, I’m Harriette—an artist, dreamer, and explorer of the unseen.
Art wasn’t always part of my plan, but somehow, it found me exactly when I needed it. At a time when words weren’t enough, painting became a way to process, to reflect, and to connect with something deeper. What started as quiet moments with a paintbrush soon grew into a lifelong love—one that continues to shape the way I see the world.
For years, I followed the path I thought I was meant to take—leaving home at 17, diving headfirst into corporate life, and eventually moving to London, where I lived for 4 years before moving back to Australia. I thought structure, success, and a steady paycheck would bring me happiness, but the reality was far from it.
Corporate life burnt me out—badly. The constant pressure, deadlines, and never-ending hustle left me feeling disconnected from myself. I realised I was spending my days pushing through, rather than actually living them.
That’s when art found me. It became more than just an outlet—it was a way to reclaim a sense of slowness, of presence, of balance. I started painting to escape, but it quickly turned into something deeper: a way to explore the world with curiosity rather than urgency.
I also love travelling and exploring new places, it has shaped my creativity; the colours, textures, and emotions I’ve encountered across these different experiences weave themselves into my work, blending reality with imagination.
For me, art isn’t just about creating images; it’s about feeling them. It’s about capturing the spaces between reality and imagination, where emotions take shape and stories unfold. Every piece I create is a reflection of my own journey—of self-discovery, wonder, and the quiet magic hidden in everyday life.
And now, I get to share that with you.
Whether you’re here to find a piece that speaks to you, lose yourself in a new world, or simply take a breath and feel something—welcome. I hope my art gives you what it gave me: a moment of connection, a sense of belonging, and maybe even a glimpse of something unseen.
Join me in my journey of discovery—I can't wait to have you along for the ride.
