Waterfalls drift through floating peaks, wrapped in clouds that glow with soft morning light. This piece was painted as an ode to Dragon Dreaming Festival — a place that exists somewhere between the real and the surreal.
When I painted Between Dreams, I wanted to capture the feeling of being suspended in that space. Laughing, dancing, completely present, yet somehow floating above it all. The colours came from those hazy sunset skies, the ones that make you forget where the ground ends and the clouds begin.
For me, this piece is about that state of in-between — where time slows, where connection feels effortless, and where you remember what it means to truly be alive. It’s a quiet celebration of freedom, friendship, and the dreamy blur between reality and imagination.
